Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - Brandon's Bear Clan Patrol says they need blankets and water to help Brandon's homeless survive the current cold on the streets.
Recent cold weather has people sleeping outside. The "Safe & Warm" shelter, run by Samaritan House, runs only during winter.
The Patrol says they found four people Thursday night with nowhere to go.
It's fallen to the Patrol to help the homeless. The group is now asking for water and blankets to give to those they find on the streets.
Spokesperson Ellen Roman says the City of Brandon and community groups have to get together and create a year-round shelter.
Blankets and water can be donated at 826 Lorne Avenue, before 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.
