Brandon, MB (CKLQ) – The post season begins this weekend for the Brandon University Bobcats men’s volleyball team as they’ll face the Winnipeg Wesmen.
Left side hitter Elliot "the violin" Viles says the post season is crucial for any team, "It’s just the combination of all the hard work we’ve put in through the year all the hours in the gym on the court, it all makes it mean that much more when your life is on the line basically."
Meanwhile hometown product Seth Friesen is up for the challenge, "We’re in a good spot. Everybody is feeling good. We got a big win in Alberta last weekend. Everybody is focused and good to go."
Friesen adds being the host team is huge, "Home court has been good to us all year. We’ve only lost once here and we’re very excited to play in front of the home fans who’ve supported us all year."
Bobcats start their series with the Wesmen this Friday night 7 p.m. at Healthy Living Center.
