Brandon city councillors will vote today on the issue of making Aberdeen Avenue in Linden Lanes a one-way to ease traffic volumes in the area.
Most residents at a public heaing last month opposed the idea, and city staff also recommends it stay a two-way.
Last December, council agreed to a pilot project to reduce the speed limit to 40-kilometres-an-hour on nearby Durum Drive for one year as a traffic calming measure in the neighbourhood.
Also on the agenda – whether to accept a bid from Alternative Landscaping for tree planting services – and whether to add a $5-dollar fee at Eastview Landfill for dumping residential loads of concrete.
