Brandon Police's emergency response unit has arrested at least two individuals in an operation near Brandon University.
Reports placed the focus of the operation at the corner of 16th Street and Princess Avenue.
According to several eye witness reports, a team of armed and vested officers responded to a call which came in around 10 a.m. Thursday.
Specifics aren't know on the cause for the call.
Several blocks from 18th and 16th Streets between Lorne and Princess Avenues were blocked off by Police vehicle and BPS officers for several hours.
Police reopened the area to traffic shortly after 1 p.m. today (Thursday).
The matter is currently under investigation.
Brandon Police Service say more information will be forthcoming as the investigation progresses.
