Canadian Food Inspection Agency issues food recall

Affected product is Eat Smart Salad Shake Ups Sweet Kale

Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - Another food food recall connected to salad issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

This time it's bagged salad.

The suspected contaminated products are 156 gram packages of Eat Smarts Salad Shake Ups Sweet Kale with the best before date of December 3rd.

Officials advise throwing out any opened packages of the product or returning unopened packages to the point of purchase.

This recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) test results.

Officials say no illnesses connected to the product have yet been reported. 

The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
