Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - The Brandon Municipal Airport is looking at re-opening an old decommissioned runway.
But before that can happen, officials say they must allow the public to weigh in on potential changes.
Airport Operations Coordinator Robb Nesbitt believes it's a good investment for the area.
The City of Brandon says it is considering re-opening that runway as a turf strip in response to requests from airport users.
Before any work can begin, the airport must hold consultations about within the airport zone due to Canadian Air Regulations.
The consultation period will run until August 24.
