BU's Healthy Living Center is running an Open House all this week. You can check out the facility or try one of the many new classes being introduced during its 'Fit 4 Life' fall program.

"With several new classes this year, a whole new lunch time program, and a new personal trainer, we have a flexible lineup that'll really get your heart racing," says Sara Grona, HLC's Facility Manager..

The new fitness classes are available three mornings a week, with multiple convenient drop-in times available. You can choose from "Forever in Motion", "Low Impact and Sculpt", "Lunch Time Express", "After Work Mixer", "Walking with Weights" or you can try them all.

"We're calling this 'Fit 4 Life' and our instructor will lead you through bodyweight, light weight, and circuit exercises that will increase your functional fitness and help you maintain your quality of life," Grona explains. "It's perfect for people who are young at heart and want to keep up their strength and energy levels."

These add to a wide variety of recreational activites badminton to pickleball, you can take a stroll on the track, or utilize the personal training option.

"This year we have expanded our personal training, and there's no better way to stay active than to have a program that's built specifically for your needs and abilities," Grona said.

Flexible memberships are available on yearly, monthly or four-month seasonal basis. There are discounts for seniors, youth, young adults, and for BU alumni. There's also a 10-or-20 visit punch card that allows full access to the facility, on your schedule, that can be used anytime.
