Four Wheat Kings on the move after Entry Draft Weekend

After this weekend's NHL entry draft, four Wheat Kings will be moving on to new clubs

Centre Luka Burzan was taken by Colorado at the draft, while Goalie Jiri Petera joins the Vegas organization.

Left Winger Ben McCartney went undrafted, but is headed to Philadelphia's Development Camp this week.

Right Winter Brent Thompson has announced he will play next season with the Dauphin Kings of the MJHL.


Meanwhile, the WHL has announced the Home Openers of Manitoba's two clubs in September.

The Wheat Kings will open their regular season hosting the Winnipeg Ice September 20th.  The two teams will meet in Winnipeg the next night.

The complete 2019-20 WHL schedule will be released Wednesday of this week.
