Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - Another steamy day in southern Manitoba.
Temperatures forecast for today will hit a high of 27 degrees celsius, but with the humidex, it will feel about 34.
Environment Canada says a high pressure system is currently sitting directly atop the Prairies, but it's still not enough of a system to issue a heat warning.
The high pressure system is also responsible for bringing some a severe thuderstorm watch over the southern third of Saskatchewan.
For Westman, and specifically Brandon, there is a chance of rain late this afternoon.
Forecasters say next week should be a little cooler to start, but temperatures rise again towards next weekend.
Highest temperature recorded on this day was 34.4C back in 1966.
The lowest temperature recorded recorded on this day was 3.3C back in 1951.
