Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - There are still no plans to fog in the City of Brandon after the recent check on the trap counts.
The daily average for the two day counts were at 238 on Saturday and 196 on Sunday, significantly higher than it was the week before.
Even with the rise, the count results are still considered in the low range.
Around the same time last year (July 10 and 11), the average counts were at 385 and 473 respectively, and considered to be in medium range.
Fogging is only deemed necessary if the average of any daily mosquito trap count is more than 1,000 or if any individual trap count is more than 2,000.
