Police Dog Helps Save Mans Life

Locates assault victim who ran from assailants

Virden, MB (CKLQ) - A Manitoba Police dog is being hailed a "Very Good Boy" after helping RCMP and the Dakota Ojibway Police locate an assault victim. 

On Saturay, D.O.P.S and RCMP were called to a report of three men involved in a beating. The victim fled the scene with injuries to his head and face. 

A First Nations Police Service Dog named Ceto was able to track the man through the bush where he was found unconscious. He was taken to hospital in serious condition. 

The three men involved in the beating were taken into custody.
