Quarter million dollar drug bust in Brandon

Crystal Meth, and Heroin mixed with Fentanyl found in vehicle


Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - Brandon Police have seized nearly a quarter million dollars in street drugs.

Around 9:20 last night, police stopped a vehicle inside city limits.  A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of two bags of drugs.

One was a bag of crystal meth worth roughly 100 thousand dollars.  The second was a bag of heroin mixed with Fentanyl worth roughly 150 thousand dollars.

The driver of the vehicle also carried just over 2600 dollars in cash.

The suspect, a 37 year old man from Alberta, has been charged with Possession of Narcotics, Trafficking in Narcotics, and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime.
