Killarney detachment reportedly look into 2017 Neepawa homicide

Killarney, MB (CKLQ) - RCMP in Killarney are investigating a homicide case from last year in Neepawa.

Witnesses report seeing a search and rescue unit in the area just south of the town on Friday.

Law enforcement is reportedly looking into the murder of a Neepawa man, whose body was found early on the morning of November 25, 2017 at a residence near Highway 5 North.

Neighbors at the time said the victim was in his sixties and reportedly had three children.

Police had never identified the victim.

It was a shocking incident for the small community with about 4,000 residents.

The last time a violent crime occurred was 2010.

Police are not releasing any further details at this time.
