Tisdale, SK (CKLQ) – The Brandon Midget AAA Wheat Kings look to keep the dream season going this week as they open up the 2019 Telus Cup West Regional tournament in Tisdale, Saskatchewan.
The Wheat Kings earned their first Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League Championship since 2007 last week in a series victory over the Winnipeg Wild.
The tournament features the Wheat Kings, the host Tisdale Trojans, the Saskatchewan Champion Notre Dame Hounds and the Northwestern Ontario Champion Thunder Bay Kings.
The winner will advance to the AAA Midget National Championship in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Action gets underway on Thursday with the Wheat Kings taking on the Hounds at 4:00 SK time.
