Regina man charged with resisting arrest and public mischief

Brandon, MB (CKLQ) - Brandon Police got a little more than they bargained for when following up on a tip possibly involving a gun toting suspect.

When officers approached the house on the 100 block of Victoria Avenue late Monday morning they had to act fast as the suspect jumped out of a window and tried to escape.

After a short foot chase officers caught up with the man.

However, the ordeal didn't end there according to BPS Constable Grant McKay.

"He wasn't compliant with us and gave a false name," McKay said.

BPS eventually found out the correct information.

The 27-year-old man from Regina faces resisting arrest and public mischief charges.

He is to appear in court today.
