Traffic stop results in major bust for Brandon Police

Drugs, cash and weapons seized


Brandon's latest drug bust netted drugs, cash and a weapon.

BPS officers conducted a vehicle inspection near the Trans Canada Highway just before noon Wednesday.

Upon searching vehicle, BPS officers discovered 80 grams of fentanyl with an approximate street value of $48,000.

An undisclosed amount of cash and a taser disguised as a flashlight were also found.

The driver, a 59-year-old man from Starbuck and his passenger 35-year-old man from Winnipeg were transported to Brandon Correctional and now face charges.
