Trail of blood helps RCMP find stabbing victim

Portage La Prairie RCMP used a trail of blood to find a stabbing victim.

Late Tuesday morning RCMP received a report of a man who was seen bleeding on 3rd Street NW in Portage La Prairie.

Officers attended the area and could not locate the victim.

Evidence from the scene led officers to Fisher Avenue where they located a 29-year-old male suffering from a non-life threatening stab wound.

The victim was transported to hospital in stable condition.
