On June 1, 2021 shortly after midnight, police responded to a report of a fight involving multiple individuals in the 900 block of Rosser Avenue. When police arrived everyone scattered, but officers spotted a man hiding behind a dumpster. Police say as they approached, the suspect tossed a machete into the dumpster.
He was arrested, but during the course of his arrest, police say a 16-year-old boy tried to prevent police from effecting the arrest by interfering. He too was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service due to his intoxication level.
A 28-year-old man is to appear in court today (June 1) on charges of Possession of a Weapon and Fail to Comply with Release Order, as he was to abstain from possessing weapons. The 16-year-old will be released when sober to appear in court on August 31, 2021 on a charge of Obstruct Peace Officer.

On May 30, 2021, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence. Police say the female victim told officers she was hit and kicked by a male suspect who also allegedy forced her to drink bleach and cut her hair. The victim received medical attention, and police say her injuries were not serious. Police were not able to locate the suspect until the following day.
Once arrested the suspect was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today (June 1) on charges of Assault, Administer Noxious Substance, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking, as he was to abide by a condition not to have contact with the victim.

On August 22, 2020, Brandon police received a complaint regarding the distribution of intimate images. The complainant learned that her former boyfriend had allegeedly posted images of her on a sharing platform without her consent.
On May 31, 2021, police arrested the 32-year-old man. He was later released to appear in court on August 23, 2021 for Distribute Intimate Image without Consent X3.

On May 29, 2021, police responded to a report of an assault, which occurred in a rooming house. During an argument, police say a 57-year-old man allegedly assaulted the victim by striking them and pressing a lit cigarette to their chest. The suspect was located and arrested on May 31, 2021. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today (June 1) on charges of Assault and Assault with a Weapon.

On May 31, 2021, a 31-year-old man attended to Brandon Police Service, as he was aware of an outstanding arrest warrant for Prohibited Driving. He was released to appear in court on September 30, 2021.
On May 31, 2021, police attended to a noise complaint at a residence shortly after 11:00 pm. An intoxicated 22-year-old man at the residence was found to be wanted on outstanding charges. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service due to his intoxication level, and he will be released when sober to appear in court on June 22, 2021 on a charge of Fail to Appear.

On May 30, 2021, police received a complaint that a 27-year-old man had attended a residence and had contact with the residents contrary to his Undertaking conditions. He was located and arrested on May 31, 2021. He was released to appear in court on August 23, 2021.
