Brandon. MB (CKLQ) – The Andrew Agencies Senior AA Baseball League crowned a champion last night as the
best-of-five series went the distance. The Young Guns were able to battle back after dropping the opening two
games of the series to tie it 2-2. However, their effort fell just short as the Cardinals took game 5, with a final
score of 8-3.
The Southwest Baseball League also came to a close yesterday. In game 5, the Oak River Dodgers became the
first team of the series to win on the road defeating the Boissevain Centennials 5-0. In doing so, Oak River
captured the Southwest League Championship for the second time in the past three years. Brady Moxham was
able to pitch a complete game shutout for the Dodgers.
