Brandon motorists on 18th Street were diverted to help accommodate a tactical response unit in the University district.
Heavy police presence blocked off several side streets while BPS members executed two search warrants for firearms.
The first one was conducted in the 100 block of 18th street.
Six individuals left the residence on their own accord prior to the executing the warrant.
One of the six individuals, a 24-year-old male was wanted on charges issued by the RCMP.
He was arrested and will appear in court in Dauphin on August 6, 2019.
Three individuals remained inside the house; however, they exited peacefully and were detained by members of the Tactical Response Unit.
Two women aged 24 and 42 face charges in court while a 39-year-old man was arrested to appear in court today.
The second search was conducted at approximately 4:00 p.m. in the 3500 block of Willowdale Cres.
During this search police located a high powered sawed off rifle.
An 18-year-old woman was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.
She will appear in court today on charges of Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited Firearm, Unsafe Storage, and Possess Firearm with Ammunition.
