Prior convictions lead RCMP to find man in possession of coke, meth, other drugs

Brandon, MB. (CKLQ) - A 31-year-old Virden man was taken into custody Monday by Virden RCMP after a compliance check resulted in a search of his residence, and drugs were found.

RCMP say the search led officers to find ten grams of cocaine, fourteen grams of methamphetamine, a spring-loaded knife, plus other drugs and paraphernalia.

Police say Cory Alexander Burke had conditions imposed after several previous arrests for breaches and drug trafficking.

He was arrested once again and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and four counts of failing to comply with recognizance.

He was to appear in court Tuesday.

Westman RCMP continue to investigate.
