Wheat Kings Wrap Up Camp

Begin prep for Friday's exhibition opener

Brandon, MB (CKLQ) – The Brandon Wheat Kings wrapped up the 2019 edition of Training Camp with the annual Canad Inns Intrasquad Game on Sunday afternoon at Westoba Place.

41 Players took part in the game to wrap up five days of practices, scrimmages, and off-ice workouts.

In a tight affair, Team White skated away with a 7-6 victory.

Veterans Ethan Kruger, Ben McCartney and Lynden McCallum did not play in the game.

General Manager Darren Ritchie said all three are listed as “Day to Day.”

-The club will announcer their pre-season roster Sunday night.

-Luka Burzan (Colorado), Jiri Patera (Vegas) & Ben McCartney (Philadelphia) will head to NHL training camp’s this week.

-Friday is Season Ticket Holder pickup day in the south end of the Keystone Centre parking lot ahead of the exhibition opener vs Winnipeg.

-Friday’s game will be broadcast on QCountry Radio starting with the pre-game show at 7:00 p.m.
