Wheaties to Make 15 Picks in Bantam Draft

Three picks in the first round.

Red Deer, AB (CKLQ) - The 2019 WHL Bantam Draft will be held this Thursday in Red Deer, Alberta. 

The Brandon Wheat Kings have 15 selections in this year's draft including three in the first round, and the first selection of the second round. 

The first round of the draft will be video streamed online.

On the topic of drafts, the CHL Import Draft will be held on June 27th. Brandon will make two selections this year. There is a chance that Jiri Patera turns pro and does not return to the hockey club. He finished the year by splitting time with the ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets and the AHL's Chicago Wolves, both affiliate organizations of the Vegas Golden Knights.
