Hartney, MB (CKLQ) – The Westman Wildcats and the Yellowhead Chiefs both had a chance to close out their Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League quarter-final series at home on Sunday, but failed to do so.
Both entered their games with a 2-0 series lead but scored a combined two goals to lose their game 3’s.
Westman lost 2-1 to Interlake.
Isobelle Hobbs scored the only goal for the Wildcats in the loss.
Westman will get a chance to end the series on Monday afternoon in Stonewall, when they play at 4:30 p.m.
Meanwhile in Shoal Lake, Yellowhead fell 4-1 to Central Plains Capitals.
Maegen Inman and Paige McArthur scored two goals each for the Capitals in the win.
The next game in that series will be played on Wednesday in Portage.
