Brandon, MB (CKLQ) – It was a tough weekend for the Cougars on the court as both the men’s and women’s volleyball teams failed to earn any wins against the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers.
On Saturday, the women captured the first set before eventually falling 3-1 (21-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-19).
Jessi Coulter (pictured above) and Paige Donald led the Cougars with eight kills while Blaire De La Mare chipped in with six and Madelyn Neufeld had five.
In men’s action, the Cougars were were swept 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-17).
Braden Campbell (pictured above) had 10 kills, Will Hatherley had eight and Paycen Warkentin had four blocks.
On Friday, both teams fell in three sets to CMU.
The women lost 25-14, 25-14, 25-22 while the men lost 25-23, 25-15, 25-23.
The Cougars host Providence on Nov. 23 and 24 at their Victoria East Campus in Brandon.
