Wayne Kozak

Wayne was born in Tisdale Saskatchewan, home of Brent Butt (Corner Gas), and raised in Hudson Bay, SK. After high school, he became a photocopier technician in Campbell River BC for 3 years, and later in Red Deer AB for another 3 years. Wayne then moved to the cosmopolitan city of Cowtown (a.k.a. Calgary). It was there that he studied Communications at Columbia Academy. After his move to Minnedosa, MB and with his newly acquired knowledge, he attained a job at CKLQ (now Q-Country AM/FM). He’s now been with us for over 31 years, and was a big support for our flip to Q-Country in April 2017.

Wayne enjoys travelling, and his favorite destination will always be the Central American country of Belize. He enjoys watching a good football game, and is a big Saskatchewan Rough Riders fan. He and his fiancé Sandy, have two cats (Broderick & Tilley), and 1 dog (Willow). Wayne is also responsible for the remote broadcasting equipment at the station. His fiancé would say that he’s very particular with his things, particularly his cars. So, with regards to the remote equipment, make sure you get all the cables back where they belong…he’ll know if you don’t.
